Tafseer Test
The following are the rules of this competition. All contestants must adhere to these rules or risk disqualification.
- No more than 2 students from each team can register for this competition.
- This competition is NOT a team effort. Students can prepare for it together, however each contestant will receive a separate test.
- MIST ID and order of competition will be pre-assigned on a random selection basis.
- Competitors shall report at the appropriate time and place designated.
- The judges shall identify each contestant's test by their MIST IDs only. If the contestant's name appears anywhere on the test, he/she will be automatically disqualified from the competition.
- This competition will be an open-book test on the following surahs:
- This test will be made up of questions that will examine your knowledge of these surahs.
- Contestants are responsible for bringing their own copies of the Quran.
- The test will contain a combination of short answer, multiple choice, and True/False questions.
- Some sample questions are:
a. In Surat Al-Anaam, find one verse that talks about how the pagans called out to Allah in times of distress.
b. Which of the following Surah's is known as the heart of the Quran? - Tests will be written using the following source- Maa'riful Quran - http://www.islamibayanaat.com/EMQ.htm
- There is no ballot for this competition.
