The first step to registering your team is to read over the instructions for online registration. These instructions can be found at <http://www.getmistified.com/registration/how-to-register/>.
It's is extremely important that these instructions are read!!!!! After having done so, your team registrar can kick-start your team registration by going to <http://www.adderpit.com/MIST>."

- Date of Birth
- School you currently attend
- Team you would like to join
Once the registration committee has received your essay and validates your participation you will receive further instructions on what you need to do to register. If your team is trying to register in time to make the early registration deadline than we need you to email your essay to us no later than January 28th. This way you will have an adequate amount of time to register for the tournament.

- MIST Nationals will inshaAllah be held in Houston, Texas- July 24-26, 2009. Keep checking www.dcmist.com and/or www.getmistified.com for more information.
- Check here to see if you are eligible for Nationals, top five competitors from each competition are eligible for Nationals
- MIST Nationals MANDATORY meeting for all parents, coaches and competitors interested in attending nationals at Houston. Saturday June 27th in the Involvement Suite rooms B and C in the Stamp Student Union, Ground floor from 11 am sharp to 1 pm.

Competition Alerts
The following are important alerts for competitions:- Missing Debate Contention # 10 updated
- MSA Website: We will inshallah have internet available at the judging site. Judges, should be able to view your website on the internet inshallah. However, please make sure you have a backup plan in case the building's connection to the internet is down for whatever reason. If you do not have a backup plan, you do risk disqualification. In the end, it is always the competitor's responsibility to ensure their submission is available for judging.
- Mailing early submissions by March 16, 2009 for Short Film. (Postmarked)

Underage Competitors
If you are an underage competitor (13 years old) you may have run into some complications when trying to create a MIST username. Currently the system only allows those 14 years and older to create usernames and rejects those that are younger. We have come up with a method to bypass this problem. If you are thirteen years old, you need to email your essaay explaining why you want to participate in MIST to- Date of Birth
- School you currently attend
- Team you would like to join

DC MIST is looking for professional judges to volunteer a few hours of their time on the weekend of March 27th - 29th, 2009. We need judges in the following areas:- Art: 2D, 3D, Photography, Website, Digital Art, Fashion Design
- Quran: Tajweed & Memorization
- Writing & Oratory: Extemp Writing & Speaking, Original Oratory, Poetry, Short Story and Children's Books
- Debate: Law students, lawyers, Law Professors, College students with previous league debating experienc, Debate coaches.
- Group Projects: Short Film, Scrapbooking, Science Fair, News writers (for the newsletter competition).
- Basketball: professional referees and nurses needed for both brothers and sisters' basketball

- The MIST mailing address and officers pages have been updated
- MIST 2009 registration starts ONLINE for the very first time mid-December. We urge all teams to go over the new rules under Registration for a head start!
